To celebrate the release of Top Gun: Maverick for purchase in the Movie Store on Fetch we took some time to consider just how many great sequels there have been across, well, the history of film. Every now and then there’s a follow-up that not only expands on the established world in an interesting way, but has more impressive filmmaking craft and an even more entertaining and engaging story. It’s not impossible to believe. Read on for some thoughts on each of our selections.

Actors have a challenging job, spending years refining their craft, putting themselves in the mind of characters created by writers and directors. Sometimes though, they get the opportunity to simply play themselves, often in an over the top and hilarious manner.
There was a time that video game adaptions for both shows and movies were met with hesitation and worry from fans of the series. Recently though, there seems to be a resurgence in video game adaptations with more and more exceeding fans’ expectations. Adapting these shows require being true to the original fans of the games, while also being approachable enough to watch without any knowledge of the games themselves. On March 28, the 94th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films released in 2021. Overnight the nominees for each of the 23 categories were announced. Check out the full list within.
